I’m a writer and, as of Jan 2018, cofounder of Howbox. It’s a site for independent workers – temps, freelancers, the self-employed, gig workers, and anyone setting up a business or side hustle.
As a writer and copywriter, I’ve written editorials, policy papers, essays, songs, verse, a play about George W Bush, a short film about family and time travel, and speeches for Ed Miliband as leader of the Opposition.
I’ve put some of my older writing up on this site, but in future I plan to use it to blog about issues which interest me, particularly the future of work.
Previous writing or ghostwriting has appeared in the Financial Times, Foreign Policy Magazine, The Scotsman, the LA Times, the Herald Scotland, the Middle East Times, the Chicago Tribune, and others.
Thanks for stopping by.
